Functions

1. To take initiative to coordinate work related to rectifying and regulating market order, and propose suggestions on rectifying and regulating market order; to establish and perfect related precaution, supervision and assessment systems. To coordinate efforts of breaking down market monopoly, industrial monopoly and regional blockade.

2. To promote the establishment of a long-term effective mechanism of rectifying and regulating market order, and put forward legislation proposals; to coordinate law enforcement between departments, promote the close connection between administrative enforcement and criminal enforcement, and improve sharing of supervision information; to be responsible for establishing and regulating service network of reports and complaints concerning market order.

3. To carry out special campaigns together with related departments, and participate in and organize the crackdown on IPR infringement, manufacturing and sale of counterfeit goods, business frauds and other misconducts that disturb market order.

4. To take initiative to rectify and regulate market order in domestic & foreign trade and international economic cooperation fields, formulate related policies to regulate market order, regulate transaction conducts of business enterprises, and promote fair trade and orderly competition.

5. To advance administrative enforcement in business and trade fields, formulate relative mechanism to regulate law enforcement, and carry out law enforcement inspection.

6. To participate in social credit system construction, organize credit publicizing and education, raise national good faith and law-abiding awareness and reinforce precautions against frauds, and make good use of media and public supervision.

7. To promote credit building in the commercial sector, map out development plans, organize the formulation of relative regulations and standards, apply classified supervision to commercial credit, and establish a public service platform of market integrity.

8. To guide sales of commercial credit, and formulate and organize to implement relative policies and measures.

9. To guide local commerce departments to regulate market order, strengthen administrative enforcement of business credit and team building, etc.

10. To administrate work concerning drug circulation, and formulate and organize the implementation of implement regulations, standards and policies of drug circulation.

11. To be responsible for the management of live pig slaughtering.

12. To draft regulations to standardize development of all kinds of Non-fixed Sales-Spots, and supervise and manage direct sales with domestic capital.

13. To take initiative to regulate promotion activities of retail enterprises and build fair transactions relations between retailers and suppliers.

14. To lead food safety management and tracking system building in the circulation field.

15. To undertake other work assigned by the leaders of the Ministry.
